Ivory embroidered apron. Historically, an apron was decorated with embroidery and layered over a skirt for both everyday and special-occasion ensembles. The ornament of the GUNIA Project apron is rooted in the imagery of 20th-century Kosiv tiles and 19th-century embroidered monastic rushnyk from the Kyiv region. The sign of the tree of life, which symbolizes fertility, universal order, and family protection, can be traced in the flower pot element.
